Inland Waterway Weather Report

Weather Highlights: 

  • A front will move through the Upper Miss and Lower Missouri Valleys today and will trigger rain and some severe storms. Large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threats with one or two tornadoes possible as well.
  • A series of systems will bring several rounds of rainfall to the Lower Missouri Valley between today and through the weekend.

7-day QPF totals (through next Monday morning):

  • Upper MS: Up to 2 ½” of precip is forecast over the southern half of the region.
  • Middle MS/Lower Ohio Valley: Between ¼ – 2 ½” is expected over the region.
  • Lower MS Valley: Up to ¾” is possible across the region.
